Writing has been a healing ritual for me since a child. It is self therapy.
My journals over the years have freed me from summarizing my expression, in hopes that someone’s attention span would read my words and process my feelings. My pen bought it all back to me. My words reach ears & hearts meant to receive them.
Khadeshia Beam is a Brooklyn native who now lives in Atlanta with her two suns/sons. She began writing at the age of 8 when her mother suggested writing to her as a way of releasing her feelings, upon noticing she was a highly sensitive child. At the age of 9 Khadeshia began her entrepreneur journey as a short story writer. She sold her short stories at Child Protective Services in Brooklyn where her mother worked in the 80s. Khadeshia considers writing to be her first yoga experience as it proved to not only be an amazing way to expand her imagination and reflect on life experiences; journaling and poetry writing became a tool for her to work through depression, trauma and deep sadness. 44, All That I Didn’t Say, Book I is an extension of Khadeshia’s healing and this book is meant to not only inspire her own continuous healing, it is to inspire people to feel more, create freely, write more and release the guilt and shame attached to their own stories, that have weighed them down.
